Kids Orthodontist
We’re dedicated to making orthodontics a really fun, educational, positive experience for you and your child. We do this not only to provide a fun and pleasant visit, but also to reinforce the importance of orthodontics at an early age. According to the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), children should receive an orthodontic screening by age 7, because permanent teeth may begin to emerge around age 6 or 7 and begin to reveal orthodontic problems. This is an important time to explore orthodontics because children’s bones are still growing, so preventative measures may be implemented and met with less resistance. Early intervention practices can help minimize the need for future procedures and help mitigate the length of those that are still needed.
We encourage parents not to hesitate in scheduling an initial appointment, and to participate in these appointments, because learning about their orthodontic treatment is a great way to help their children get the most out of it.
